Welcome to Hullabaloo Kennels! We’re a small, dedicated breeder of AKC German Wirehaired Pointers located in Hearne, Texas. Our passion for this incredible breed goes far beyond producing puppies—we are committed to preserving the German Wirehaired Pointer as the versatile, intelligent, and loyal sporting dog it was meant to be.

Every litter we produce is thoughtfully planned with the goal of improving the breed through exceptional health, sound structure, stable temperaments, and natural hunting ability. Whether one of our puppies grows up to compete in the show ring, hunt alongside its owner, excel in performance sports, or simply become a cherished family companion, we want every dog to live a happy, fulfilling life.

 

Our Story

Hullabaloo Kennels began with a love for the German Wirehaired Pointer and a desire to be involved in every aspect of the breed. What started as an admiration for these versatile dogs quickly became a lifelong passion for breeding, showing, training, and learning.

Today, our dogs compete in conformation, hunt tests, field events, dock diving, and other performance sports. We believe German Wirehaired Pointers should be beautiful enough to meet the breed standard while also possessing the intelligence, athleticism, and natural instincts to perform the jobs they were originally bred to do.

Our Breeding Philosophy

We breed selectively and intentionally, producing only a limited number of litters each year so every puppy receives the individual care and attention it deserves.

 

Raising Puppies the Right Way

Our puppies are raised inside our home, where they are part of our daily lives from the moment they’re born.

During their first eight weeks, they receive:

• Daily handling from birth

• Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

• Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

• Regular nail dremeling beginning at one week of age

• Exposure to household sights and sounds

• Age-appropriate enrichment and problem-solving activities

• Socialization with people and new environments

• Veterinary care, vaccinations, and deworming

These early experiences help lay the foundation for confident, curious, and adaptable puppies.
